Day 8 of my 31 words in 31 days experiment!

Today’s Word: THRIVE

The word Thrive, makes me happy! I believe it’s the moment you are in your true-self! I think for a big portion of my life I didn’t thrive, but the minute I started to thrive, I immediately new it and strive to thrive everyday now!

So how do you thrive in your environment? Do you have to change jobs, or move to another state, get new friends? I thought all of that had to happen. But again after I read The Secret I realized I can thrive in any environment with the right frame of mind. I’m a true believer in the concept that “the Universe is conspiring for me”. With that simple change of my mind frame I started to thrive. My friendships intensified, my job intensified & and my creativity shocked me. Not all of it was positive but I believe the negative things that happened in my job were to show me my true-self!

Yesterday after doing a training session, I was told by a couple of people that I excel in this environment, but to be honest I don’t really like training people. I like to learn new things, not focus on the same old things, but I was grateful to know that I thrived in my circumstance regardless if it’s my calling or not.

If you don’t know if your thriving in your environment, just ask yourself “Do I feel alive”? If your going through the motions of life and your always on auto-pilot , then chances are you’re not thriving. So what can you do to make yourself thrive? I’m obviously not an expert, but I believe doing something new everyday, helps awaken your true-self. Start small, drive a different route to work, sit at a different table at lunch, or say “Hi” to every person who walks by. Just those simple changes will allow you live in the moment. The more you do it, the more your situations will begin to carve out your thriving environment. I know this sounds simple. But I think we make life way to complicated. Simplicity is where your true-self lives.

Peace, Love, Joy and Harmony
